If you are wanting to be able to use or print an About You Photography image on your own, where you want for PERSONAL USE, you need to purchase what is called PERSONAL LICENSING. Personal Licensing is the legal ability to reproduce an image for a personal use. To use an image without such is a violation of Federal US Copyright Laws. The purchase of a physical print DOES NOT include any form of personal licensing. $45 Per File. The only exception to this is packages that include files for personal printing authorizations.

Commercial Licensing is the legal ability to reproduce an image for a commercial purpose. To use an image without such is a violation of Federal US Copyright Laws. The purchase of a physical print DOES NOT include any form of commercial licensing. To purchase a file for commercial purposes…(EXCLUDING THE RESALE OF THE IMAGE OR FILE…$65.00. The only exception to this is packages that include files for commercial printing authorizations.
About You Photography offers two ways to gain a commercial license for an image. You can purchase a license for an image at $65 per image. That provides you with the correct digital file (Absolutely NO scanning allowed of our images!) to reprint and use in your personal AND commercial needs as you choose. You receive a signed authorization indicating you have purchased those rights. At no time can any image be used without this authorization. Our pricing is 1/4 the rate of other professional photographers for commercial use.

The other way to obtain such a license is to have us come to your ranch or place of business and have a special session that includes the commercial license worked right into the contract paperwork.
We make no exceptions for anyone. There is no such thing as free advertising.
At no time can commercial releases be transferred to any third party. If a third party is wishing to use any image for any purpose, they MUST come through About You Photography. No exceptions. At no time can any one holding a commercially released image SELL that image or file or GIVE that image away for any purpose.
We do use programs that search the internet for our images and, when we find images that are being used in any commercial format, an invoice will be sent out.
What constitutes as Commercial Use? Commercial Use includes all of these uses but is not limited to these uses. Any image used to sell a product/animal/ranch or service such as training, breeding, tack, jewelry and so on. Putting one of our images on a forum or website bragging about a win is commercial use as you are using it to promote that animal/rider/training. Brochure use of images. Flier use. Sales programs. Print outs. Sales Catalogs. Business cards, and so on.
We do keep careful records of who purchases Commercial Licensing. Invoices will be sent out for any images found being used commercially without proper licensing. This is is part of the way we make our living and keep our pricing lower than most Professional Photographers. We appreciate the honesty our clients provide us.
Third Parties
This is for feed stores, or other business that is not a ranch or competition, who want to use one of our event or stock images….we need to know what you need the image for, whether it is a label, a brochure, web, etc so that we can correctly calculate the cost of the image for you and create a special license for the image in question. At no time can a subject give you an image to use. The image you want must come from us with the proper release.
